LA Original
LA Original, Los Angeles’ first made in LA brand and civic social enterprise.
As the Director of Brand LA and Chief Marketing for the City, working with the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development, I led the creation and launch of LA Original, which showcases our diverse makers and promotes locally designed and manufactured goods through a line of LA-branded products.
Involving more than 100 companies and retailers and creative design support from local award winning advertising firm 72andSunny, the LA Original brand and products were featured and sold at iconic City destinations, including Westfield Century City, MOCA, Urban Outfitters, LAX, the LA Design Festival and more. All proceeds from the LA Original program supported the Downtown Women’s Center’s “Made by DWC” program.
