Think It Up - Education Program

Partner with Entertainment Industry Foundation and Donor’s Choose to create a large scale, national school supply donation program for public schools across the country whose teachers had limited resources due to low budgets.

Think It Up was created to improve the learning experience in America. This national education initiative reframed the public discussion about education to encourage the creation of a culture of excitement about learning everywhere in America and to build a sense of optimism about the potential of classrooms across the country. Students age 13+ in grades 7-12 at public or charter schools were invited to work with their teachers to develop projects that draw on their passions and help pursue their educational goals. The projects entailed the rigorous skill development that prepares American youth for post-high school life, helping pave the way for career success, regardless of their path. In collaboration with DonorsChoose, the student-powered, teacher-led projects were crowdfunded by citizen donors.

Think It Up officially kicked off with a star-studded, live broadcast simultaneously airing on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. The broadcast and social media fundraising event spotlighted powerful stories of teachers and students working together, and also included included live musical performances from Justin Bieber, Kacey Musgraves, and Big Sean, with appearances by Ryan Seacrest, Gwyneth Paltrow, Common, Kristen Bell, Stephen Colbert to name a few. Sponsor and activation partners included The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ashoka, and XQ.
